| Kichwa Tembo Bateleur Camp is situated on the border of the Masai Mara National Reserve in Southwestern Kenya. Set on a private concession leased from Masai landlords, the camp lies at the base of the Oloololo Escarpment and is fringed by Riverine Forest just below the spot where Out of Africas most famous scene was shot. The camp faces out onto the plains of the Masai Mara and lies directly in the path of what is considered to be the annual migration of wild beasts and zebras from the Serengeti National Park of Tanzania. The migration is not predictable but usually arrives during June/July and departs in October. It is approximately 302 kilometers (177 miles) or a 6 hour and 15 minutes drive from Nairobi Airport to Bateleur Camp. Flights are available from Nairobi Wilson Airport and are the recommended means of transfer.
