	Ambleside is right in the heart of the English Lake District, situated at the northern tip of Windermere, England's longest lake. Now all 23 of Beatrix Potter's tales are brought to life in 3 dimensions, so you can meet Cecily Parsley and the Amicable Guines-Pig for the first time and say hello to old friends like Peter Rabbit and Jemima Puddle-duck in brand new settings.New highlights include Mr McGregor's Greenhouse. Creep into scary Mr McGregor's greenhouse and search for your favourite characters amongst the plant pots and seed trays. Peter Rabbit's garden, step through the garden gate and enjoy even more of Peter's adventures brought to life in 3 dimensions. Virtual Walks, take a virtual journey through Lakeland to the places that inspired Beatrix Potter's tales. Bunny Adventures, enjoy new displays for favourite characters like the Flopsy Bunnies, Jemima Puddle-duck and Jeremy Fisher.The World of Beatrix Potter is the only attraction licensed by the publisher of Peter Rabbit books and includes a Beatrix Potter Emporium and Talior of Gloucester tea room.New from 2006, from Easter visitors will be able to admire a huge bronze sculpture feature Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle-duck and all their friends. Situated outisde on the Old Laundry terrace the sculpture will be the focus of a whole host of activites and competitions.

Wordsworth Museum
	Set back from the shores of Grasmere, Dove Cottage, was poet William Wordsworth's home during his most creative years. Visitors are offered guided cottage tours that are renowned for their quality. The garden 'a little nook of mountain ground', is open, weather permitting. The award-winning Wordsworth Museum displays manuscripts, portraits, paintings and memorabilia. Lively poetry readings and contemporary art exhibitions are also held throughout the year. There is an excellent book & gift shop. The Restaurant is open daily throughout the year. From 27 Jul to 2 Sep family activities take place every day. Special rates for families and groups. Car park on A591 Ambleside/Keswick Road.
