Trehellas House is a lovely, Grade II listed Cornish courthouse dating back to the early 18th century. It has had many guises over the years - starting life as a posting Inn - Washaway Inn and was used to hold the monthly petty sessions for the Hundred of Trigg until the 1870s. In the 1760s and 1770s a Venison Club was also held, where neighbouring gentry dined several times every year.
