| The Langdale Hotel & Country Club is a natural woodland haven with streams and tarns, dotted with massive millstones and other carefully preserved reminders of its history as a 19th century gunpowder works. In harmony with it*s beautiful and peaceful setting, the bedrooms at have been converted from original historic buildings close to the main facilities, some alongside the sparkling waters of the river, others looking onto high fells or nestling in the wooded beauty of the Estate. The Country Club at the Langdale Hotel is considered one of the biggest and best facilities. Guests can enjoy outstanding views of the surrounding Estate from the 20 metre pool and the twelve-person spa pool. The Langdale offers a choice of dining including the intimate Purdeys Restaurant, the more informal bistro style Terrace Restaurant and a traditional Lakeland pub, Wainwrights Inn.
