Every year, during winter, the Humpback whales migrate anywhere from 2000 to 4000 miles, from distant northern feeding grounds to the warm Caribbean water of the Samana Bay in the Dominican Republic to reproduce. The Humpbacks are a whale watchers delight as they are costal whales, easilty found very close to shore and they are considered one of the most active species of whale in the world.
