The refurbishment of a city centre hostelry in the north-west of England has been completed, which may be of interest to visitors looking for somewhere to stay in the area.
Based on Portland Street, the Britannia Manchester Hotel is in walking distance of a number of attractions and is said to be within easy access of the nearby international airport.
A Grade II listed building, the owners of the accommodation claim the revamp has merely added to the "allure" of a venue which "already boasts a tremendous amount of character".
Public areas in the hotel have been freshly decorated and fitted with brand new carpets, the grand staircase restored and bedrooms refitted.
The hotel costs from £70 per night per room and can be booked online with Infotel.
For people opting to visit Manchester in the near future, the city is hosting international comedy and separate literature festival at the same time, with both running until October 26th.
